Unplug. Get dirty. Grow Wild.
Slide Ranch Camp immerses kids in the wonder of nature and the joy of discovery.
Guided by our skilled outdoor instructors (each week, regardless of theme) campers milk goats, collect eggs, and harvest vegetables to cook what they grow. Kids explore tidepools, wander through the fennel forest, tend our chickens, and visit honey bees in our secret garden all within our 134 acres of coastal land in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
Campers come home happy, tired, and sometimes a little muddy — with memories that last a lifetime.

Slide Ranch Summer Camp Themes & Dates
Campers learn to care for every corner of Slide Ranch — from the goats and sheep to the chickens, ducks, and garden. Through cooking, animal care, and nature-based projects, campers create meaningful connection to our animals, each other, and the land.
Junior Ranchers
We celebrate our roots and pay hommage to The Frontier Arts Institute - Slide Ranch's original outdoor education program! Campers will let their imaginations run wild as they transform wool from our sheep, treasures from the garden, non-native plant materials, and upcycled trash into extraordinary creations. With plenty of time alongside our goats, sheep, chickens, and ducks, it’s a week of making, discovering, and forging new creativity!
Frontier Arts
Get ready for a buzzing farm adventure! Campers will explore the amazing world of pollinators and invertebrates through hands-on garden discoveries, honeybee encounters, wildflower trail explorations, creative art projects, delicious honey comparisons and more. We’ll have plenty of time for goats, sheep, chickens, and ducks encounters, too! Campers will uncover the incredible connections between pollinators, plants, animals, and the entire farm ecosystem—all while getting their hands delightfully dirty.
Pollinatorpalooza
Adventure awaits! Campers welcome our 4 invitations: get dirty, ask questions, try something new, and have fun! We will explore the many habitats of Slide Ranch. From tidepools to pastures, every day brings new discoveries and lasting memories with new friends (including our goats, sheep, chickens, and ducks!).
Great Outdoors
Campers dig into the garden, harvest fresh ingredients, and prepare daily dishes to go straight from our farm to their bellies. We'll discover how eating locally helps care for the planet. We'll be bringing back the very popular Slide Ranch CHOPPED competition where each group will use a secret ingredient to create a beverage, appetizer, salad, main course, or dessert! Of course, there will be plenty of time with our goats, sheep, chickens, and ducks—each of whom contributes to our food system.
Farm to Belly
Youth ages 12–17 learn basic leadership, teamwork, communication, and group interaction skills as they explore and assist our Outdoor Instructors. CITs lead games, read stories, and add to the fun of camp! A mandatory evening online training and 1 day field training is required for all CITs. Evening training available May 6th or May 12th, 5-7pm. Field training on May 15th 9:30am - 3:30pm. Returning CITs must participate in training. Contact us for more information or questions.
