Slide Haiku
Though their days are filled with welcoming school groups, visitors, and families, our Slide Ranch program team also has wonderful creativity. Many weeks they are inspired to post a Haiku on our board for staff to enjoy. All of the below were contributed this past fall. We hope you enjoy, these small snippets of our lives that we share with you.
Chickens in the coop. Hear the shuffle all about. Scratch time is coming.
Behold the beauty. Of strawberries and mountains. Reasons to believe.
Viewpoint majesty. Pelicans soaring along. Skyline’s pinkish hue
Rooster crows at dawn. Rooster crows at lunchtime too. Please please take a break.
And you’ll take me home. On a windy shoreline road. Beneath moonlit fog.
Nutmeg Althea. Forty, Anise, Tuna, Toad. Charlotte, Dream, Kimchi.
Chicory, Marley. Sister, Stormy, Thunder, Pete. Chrysalis, Baby.
Resting in sunshine. Noontime dreaming endlessly. Light bleeding through trees.
Poop in the privy. Please go pee in the bushes. Too much liquid smells.
P.S. Our program calendar is quiet through the new year, but our first workshops and events begin late January. See our full calendar of events on our website and sign up today!
