Family Programs Family Programs are offered on most weekends throughout the spring and fall and consist of Family Farm Days, Toddler Days, and Family Campouts. Some Family Farm Days have special themes, such as Sheep to Shawl, Ocean Exploration Day and Mothers Day. We also offer two special family events: Spring Fling and Harvest Celebration. Pre-registration is required for all Family Programs. Family Farm Days Enjoy the Slide Ranch under the sun and blue skies with your friends and family. Under the guidance of our experienced teachers, you can: milk a goat, feed and collect eggs from our chickens, rub a sheep’s wool, plant seeds, sample from our organic garden, learn to make crafts and food just like the early farmers and explore our miles of wild land trails and tide pools. Opportunities available for adult level education as well as activities geared just for kids. Register now. Toddler Days Bring your infants and toddlers to this extremely popular family farm day designed especially for the little ones. Toddlers are welcome at any of our Family Farm Days, but on Toddler Days, they will be in the company of other parents with toddlers, and the teachers plan the day’s activities with toddlers’ special needs in mind. Family Campouts Spend the night on the green coastal bluff with the Pacific Ocean crashing below. Join us for farm activities, crafts and nature exploration plus a campfire program, stargazing and a night hike. Saturday night bring a dish for a potluck dinner. Sunday continental breakfast is provided. We complete our experience together by preparing a farm feast of homemade cheese, bread, butter and other treats harvested from our garden. Campout begins 10 a.m. on Saturday and wraps up by 1p.m. on Sunday. Register now.
