Share the wonders of Slide Ranch together! As part of our family programs, you and your family can milk a goat, collect eggs from our chickens, and explore our organic gardens and coastal wildlands. You may learn about native plants and ecology on our trails, make nature crafts and recycled material art, cook with foods from our garden, card and spin wool from our sheep, explore our tide pools and more! Under the guidance of our experienced teachers, the possibilities are endless.
HARVEST CELEBRATION!

Celebrate the season of bounty in the style of an old time county fair! Slide Ranch's annual Harvest Celebration offers fun, seasonally inspired crafts and activities like scarecrow building, wool spinning, baking and making cheese and butter, among others. You will have the chance to meet our farm animals, milk goats and feed the chickens and ducks. Learn about our native coastal plants on a guided wild lands hike or relax in our beautiful garden enjoying great music and delicious local and organic cuisine. It's a terrific day for the whole family!
Fee: $25/person in advance, $30 at the gate; $80 for a family of 4 or more in advance, $95 for a family of 4 or more at the gate; age 2 and under free. No one turned away for lack of funds. Volunteers aged 14 and older are always needed!

A special overnight program featuring camping in our spectacular coastal meadow. On Saturday, join Slide Ranch teachers for a day of farm activities, crafts and nature exploration. At night, gather for a family potluck dinner and a campfire under the stars. Sunday morning, everyone has a chance to help with farm chores before sitting down to breakfast, provided by Slide Ranch and served in the cozy yurt. Spend the rest of the morning preparing a farm tasting of homemade cheese, bread, butter and other treats harvested from our organic garden. The Slide Ranch overnight camping trip is an educational, unique, fun and hassle-free way to camp for the whole family!
Participants must bring their own camping equipment and a dish to share for Saturday night’s potluck dinner. Sunday continental breakfast is provided. Campout begins at 10:00 am on Saturday and wraps up by 1:00 pm on Sunday.
Fee: $75/person, age 2 and under free.
FAMILY FARM DAYS
Halloween Family Farm Day

The Ranch will reveal some special tricks and treats today! We might make Halloween costumes from recycled materials, take a spooky tour of the garden, watch some wriggly composting worms and bake delicious treats! Don't forget to wear your costume!
Give Thanks to Food Family Farm Day

We celebrate food and where it comes from on this special family day! Take a journey through the full cycle of seed to meal, and learn about food traditions from around the world. We'll fire up the cob oven and bake some bread to enjoy with our homemade butter!

TODDLER DAYS
Two Toddler Days will be scheduled by early July. Check back then!
A popular day at the farm for families with toddlers and babies! Enjoy milking a goat, holding a warm egg from the chickens, and hearing the baa of the sheep. There are many tastes, colors, and smells living in our organic garden, and we use all of our senses to explore the farm. Activities are toddler appropriate, but all ages welcome on this very friendly day.
Program is from 9:00am to 12:00pm
