SPRING FLING!
Saturday, April 28th, 10am – 4pm

Join us for Slide Ranch’s most popular yearly event!  Celebrate springtime on the farm with live kid-friendly music, local organic cuisine, and hands-on farm and craft activities for all ages.  Learn where your food comes from by milking goats, feeding chickens, touring the garden, or making bread, butter, and cheese.  See how a sweater is made through sheep shearing, carding and spinning wool, and other wool crafts.  Spark your creative side through sustainable nature crafts and facepainting, reconnect with the land on a guided coastal hike, or simply relax on a picnic blanket while eating delicious offerings from local farms.

Want to hike your way to Spring Fling? Lace up your boots and fill your water bottle for a self-guided hike from the Golden Gate Bridge to Slide Ranch as part of a series of events celebrating the Golden Gate Bridge 75th Anniversary.  Hikers should start out by 8 or 9 in order to make it to Slide Ranch by noon.  Not a difficult hike for the fit person and certainly some lovely trails that will be filled with wild flowers of spring.  Shuttle service will be available to take hikers back to the Bridge at the end of the day.  Admission fee for the Spring Fling event will include the cost of the shuttle.

Spring Fling Fees:  $25/person in advance, $30 at the gate; $80 families of 4 or more in advance, $95 families of 4 or more at the gate; age 2 and under free.

To sign up: Please fill out and mail in a 2012 family day application form to get the pre-registration rate for Spring Fling and/or to sign up for other family programs. Drop-in registration will also be available at the gate.
