Programs

For 35 years in a stunning outdoor setting, Slide Ranch has used its organic farm and garden to infuse students and other group participants with a sense of place in the natural world, and to offer them a taste of farm-fresh produce, eggs and milk.

Slide Ranch serves groups ranging in age from nursery school to high school. We strive to reach participants from low-income, ethnically diverse and special needs populations, with a third of these participants receiving scholarship subsidies, so the experience is available to youth who would not otherwise be able to participate.

Group Programs

Group Programs are hands-on weekday and overnight farm workshops primarily attended by school children and community groups in the spring and fall. Slide Ranch teachers lead program participants through a variety of educational themes and activities tailored to meet each group’s needs. For all ages. More Info

Applications for Fall Group Programs are due May 15th
Applications for Spring Group Programs are due October 1st

Summer Day Camp

Week-long, summer day camps focus on farm crafts and activities as well as nature exploration. Through hands-on experience campers learn to respect and care for animals, plants, the earth, and each other. For ages 5-12. Ages 13 and up may participate in our Junior Camp counselor Program. More Info

2007 Summer Day Camp weekly sessions begin June 11th and end August 17th

Family Programs

Family Programs are offered on most weekends throughout the spring and fall and consist of Family Farm Days, Toddler Days, Family Campouts and a Spring Fling and Harvest Festival. With fun-filled, hands-on activities, our goal is to inspire kids and their parents to make healthy choices about food and other natural resources. More Info
