Get Involved
Our most valuable asset is the collection of people whose lives have been touched by Slide Ranch. Observing the faces of thousands of kids each year transform after a day on the coastal farm is what keeps us passionate about our mission.
We invite you to share in the excitement as we begin to revitalize this outstanding organization. As Marin County’s oldest teaching farm, our goal is to continue to bring Bay Area children and their families the best experience in outdoor education to inspire healthy eating and sustainable living.
Slide Ranch Alumni Live What They
Learned
Using knowledge gained through their Slide
Ranch internships, former Teachers-in-Residence Corey Block
and Deepa Iyer have founded a sustainable community and education
center in Oakland called SOL. SOL, which stands for Sustaining
Ourselves Locally, is a community where members have transformed
a live/work space and neglected urban lot to a sustainable home,
organic garden and center for workshops on gardening, food politics,
cooking and nutrition.
