About Chef Gabriel Powers
Gabriel grew up learning about the connection between farm fresh food and the culinary magic requir ed to create a cultural and epicurean feast. His mother, Kittina Powers, taught cooking classes at home, wrote about cooking for the San Francisco Chronicle and created the first wine pairing course for women in Marin. This family legacy made an impact on Gabriel and propelled him into a career in food. He has worked with produce, been a butcher, cheese monger, fish monger, and organic food broker. He has also taught cooking classes to children at Marin Primary and he ran his own catering company. He has a deep love for food and all methods in which it gets onto your plate. Gabriel is inspired by all of the amazing local ingredients that can be found in Marin and elsewhere, and he is excited to bring them to you in an informative and fresh way, all from the garden that his wife Teresa tenderly manicures.
