Slide Ranch Site Rental Opportunities In addition to our educational programs, Slide Ranch offers rustic facilities for private group or individual hire. The site is well-suited for retreats, workshops and conferences, as well as for family reunions or weddings. Slide Ranch is located just north of Muir Beach on Highway One, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Our beautiful site is approximately 30 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Group Campsite The group campsite, a ten minute walk from the farmstead along a coastal trail, is located on a flat, grassy bluff overlooking the ocean. Also at the site is a rustic geodesic Dome useful for cooking, eating, and storing food. A propane stove, plates, cups, utensils and pots and pans are supplied. The presence of the Dome adds comfort and ease to the campsite, but it has not been constructed or maintained to accommodate sleeping. An outhouse and gas lights are available at the site, though there is no running water or electricity. Yurt The Yurt is a circular canvas structure with a domed skylight, wooden floor, and wood burning stove. From inside the Yurt, you can hear the muted sound of waves crashing on the rocky shore below. The Yurt can comfortably accommodate 30 to 40 people for meetings, workshops, dancing, performance art and other celebrations. We provide tables and chairs for 25 people. The Yurt has electricity, an outside source of cold drinking water and port-o-potty located near by. Coffee percolators, plates, silverware and mugs can also be rented. Weddings, Birthdays & Special Events Various sites at Slide Ranch can be used for celebrations and gatherings such as weddings and birthdays. In addition to the places mentioned above, our garden area under the shade of several cypress trees provides a lovely gathering space. Fees as of June 2010
